The Glue Network, Flexfit and TOMS Shoes Inspire People to

Give Love Back

Flexfit was proud to collaborate with The Glue Network once again on another successful campaign to raise money and awareness for an important cause.

“Over the past two years The Glue Network has raised $200,000 and tons of awareness for our many non-profit partners. We owe much of our success to the unfailing support we have received from Flexfit,” states Scott Hancock, co-founder of The Glue Network.

In another successful collaboration, The Glue Network and Flexfit, along with TOMS Shoes, convened at the ASR Trade Expo in San Diego, CA last month, to sell shoes and create painted murals for FRIENDS OF TOMS, a non-profit organization established by TOMS Shoes. For every pair of shoes TOMS sells, they donate - one for one - a pair of shoes to a child in need. To date, TOMS has donated 70,000 pairs of shoes to children around the world. Participants at this event purchased a pair of TOMS Shoes, volunteers painted the soles of each pair of TOMS Shoes purchased, and participants went to work with their feet, creating one-of-a-kind artwork which was later completed by professional artists. The artists who volunteered their times to complete these painted murals for charitable auction included: Melissa Leslie, Derek Leitch, Kelli Murray, Johnny Rodriguez, Austin Blasingame, Chris Pastras, Kris Markovich, Ekundayo, Theo Hetherington, Anthony Uranga, Michael Alvarez and Steve Caballero.

On September 27, 2008 the GIVE LOVE BACK campaign, sponsored by Flexfit, hosted a follow up event with a showcase and silent auction for the art produced at the ASR Trade Expo. All proceeds from this silent auction were donated to FRIENDS OF TOMS, continuing to provide free shoes to children in need throughout the world.

Aside from the Friends of TOMS one-for-one shoe donations, the purpose of the event was to inspire people to GIVE LOVE BACK and to raise awareness for children around the world who are in dire need of shoes.

Additional sponsors of the event included: Jedidiah, ASR, Swiv Tackle Circus, Given Skateboards, Flexfit, Koerce Media, Montana Colors, and Article.1.

According to Mario DeMatteo from Koerce Media, a fellow sponsor for GIVE LOVE BACK, “I still have the Green 4 Green hat Flexfit did for ASR last year. The embroidery is phenomenal, the quality is superb, and the cause is what makes it a hat I will frequently wear.”
